9.30am – STEP2DYNA introduction by Professor Shigang Yue, University of Lincoln, followed by discussion surrounding issues and future plans

10.15am – ‘A peek into a crab’s optic lobes that support motion detection, visually-guided behaviours and memory’ by Dr Julieta Sztarker from UBA

11.30am – ‘Raising the Alarm: recognising looming objects’ by Dr Claire Rind, Newcastle University

12.30pm – ‘LGMD-like, STMD-like, and DS Neurons in the Praying Mantis’ by Dr Yoshifumi Yamawaki, Kyushu University

12.45pm – Networking

1pm – Lunch

2pm – ‘Deep Spiking Neural Network for Visual Pattern Recognition’ by PhD student Daqi Liu, University of Lincoln. Also, to include discussion on LGMD modelling with spiking models

3pm – Q&A session and discussion on topics presented

11.15am – ‘Exploring Locust Looming Detectors’ by Dr Peter Simmons, Newcastle University

12.15pm – Follow-up discussion and Q&A

1.30pm – Wrap-up session and opportunity for Skype call with available partners to discuss future plans
